Job Description and Duties

The Business Development Manager is responsible for achieving ExxFire's commercial

growth in the Benelux and the Nordics. This role focuses on developing new markets, partnerships, and customer relationships, with a particular focus on the rapidly growing battery and energy storage market. The manager plays a key role in ExxFire's continued international expansion and the positioning of its innovative fire safety technology.

You will:

  • Identify and approach new business opportunities, customers, and distribution partners
  • Develop and implement an effective commercial strategy for the region
  • Build and maintain sustainable relationships with end customers, OEMs, and distributors
  • Analyze market developments, competition, and trends in the fire safety and battery sectors
  • Achieve revenue and margin targets in accordance with annual targets
  • Represent ExxFire at trade fairs, conferences, and customer visits
  • Collaborate with the internal organization (sales support, engineering, production) to tailor customer solutions
  • Report commercial results and market insights to the management team


Key Responsibilities

  • Achievement of team targets (revenue, margin, conversion, response time)
  • Number of leads followed up and conversion to quotes/orders
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Turnaround time from quote to order


Who are you?

Your skills:

  • HBO/WO work and thinking level
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management
  • Experience in the fire safety sector, technical industry, or battery/energy storage market is a strong asset
  • Demonstrable results in generating leads and achieving revenue growth
  • Hunter mentality: proactive, results-oriented, and persistent
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Commercial acumen with strategic thinking
  • Technical understanding of or affinity for fire safety and detection systems
  • Independent, entrepreneurial, and able to operate in an international context
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English (spoken and written)
  • Willingness to travel frequently
