Job Description and Duties

ExxFire has developed a cutting-edge solution for fire suppression; based on space

technology. ExxFire products combine fire detection and fire extinguishing using nitrogen that is stored without pressure in innovative generators. The offices are located in Noordwijk, where the final products are assembled. The generators are produced in Farmsum. ExxFire products are currently being sold to an international customer base, including a large multinational market leader in building solutions. ExxFire has the unique potential to become a leading market player in the multi-billion fire suppression market; also driven by offering a total green solution, which will facilitate the energy transformation for many customers. The coming years, ExxFire will scale up big time, commercially and production wise; this includes partnerships with large market players. 

 

To facilitate this major scale up, a new CEO will join ExxFire shortly. At the same time, the

company is searching for a broad finance manager to support the CEO and the company in successfully scaling up. This finance manager is expected to have the capacities and the drive to develop him/herself into a full-fledged CFO.

As Finance Manager of a fast-growing company, you will have the opportunity to make a

significant impact on the company's success by providing strategic financial guidance, driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of financial discipline and innovation.

Key responsibilities:

1. Scale up administration, reporting and control in line with company expansion:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities (partially outsourced.) and ensure proper administrative organization and internal controls.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reporting (including the audit process), budgets and financial forecasts and analysis.
  • Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
  • Treasury and cash management.


2. Enabling the growth by having a lead role in:

  • Financing; including equity from existing and new shareholders and bank financing, specifically for the required working capital.
  • Structuring, including the legal structure.
  • Implementation of strategy, including internationalization and M&A activities.
  • Developing financial modelling, financial strategies and long-term financial plans to support the company's growth objectives.

 

3. Supporting the growth, including a wide range of tasks like contract management, IP

administration and export permits, to name just a few.

Who are you?

Your skills:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • You have proven experience (5+ years) in finance roles with a focus on financial control, business analysis and planning and with the ability to analyze complex issues.
  • You have strong understanding of financial principles within an entrepreneurial environment.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • You have a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset and provide actionable insights.
  • You have a strong adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • You foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity and innovation.
